After TMI’s successful completion of the Nelson Mandela University’s new water irrigation scheme back in April 2021, it is great to get a bird’s eye view and see the difference it has made.
The NeWIS scheme is unique in that it utilises treated effluent water for irrigation on a large scale and the scheme was designed to irrigate zones of up to 1.56 hectares (125m x 125 m) during a single irrigation application session.
